Benefit Fraud Discussed on BBC Radio London

Policy in Practice were on BBC Radio London discussing the DWP’s attempts to tackle Fraud and Error with a new local advertising campaign.

The current benefit system creates too many opportunities for fraud, and stops people from claiming what they are entitled to. By simplifying the system and bringing the regulation and administration of benefits under a single Government Department, these opportunities are likely to be reduced, whilst also helping benefit claimants with a more straightforward claims process.
